Hi, I currently live in Ottawa, and i was wondering I f I can get accepted into Chemical Engineering in either ottawaU or Queen's with my marks?
Grade 11
Chem-84
Bio-83
Phys-77
Functions-82
English-75
Grade 12
Chem-85
Phys-82
Advanced Functions-89
I plan on getting 85+ in bio next semester along with 85+ in Calculus as well.
I'm worried because some of my friends are already getting accepted. And I'm really interested in the field I'm applying to.
Do you think I will be accepted for ChemEng into either university with these marks?
Thanks for any replies |

| Yes, ur grade 12 marks are in the end what matters most, so if u keep a 85+ u can def get in. And tell ur friends to stop bs ing you. Nobody gets acceptances this early. Around Feb is the earliest anyone would get accepted to university, with certain conditions of course. |

K I don't know what ur friend did to get admitted but it's highly unusual for anyone to get admission to univ this early. Normally admissions wait till the middle of the 2nd semester(this is when ur 2nd semester midterm marks go to universities), which is around march before they officially accept you. Some of course get acceptances in Feb, but these are usually the ones with very good marks and averages who get early admission. Personally when I applied some universities gave me offers in Feb, while some(uoft for example) had me waiting till the end of march and even early April.
The only logical explanation I can think of is that ur friend has already completed some grade 12 courses while he was still in 11. |
