From all these ridiculous and immature comments I'm going to assume that you guys are still students at your respective universities.

The fact of the matter is that if you do well in any university with an engineering program that is in mid-range or above, then it hardly matters which one you go to.

Having graduated from Queen's and having about 5 years of work experience, I can tell you guys that in the real world no one will care which school you graduated from the moment you get your first job.

Stop worrying about which school is ranked higher or about crazy admission cutoffs. As long as you work hard and perform well in your chosen field then it's really all about how you handle your job interviews and how you conduct yourself at work (as far as engineering goes anyhow).

Great point Eng!!.... It's Fu(king hillarious how clouded some peoples thoughts are. They'll quickly realize how stupid they are once they enter the work force.

well i wouldn't say that the schools doesn't matter, it's dependent on wether or not there are competent profs

its much better for the graduate students funding on equipment and expenses. the more prestige the school the better the funding, the better the funding the better the research equipment and expense allowance, the more attractive the research grants the better the top PhD profs u have on campus, the better the profs and prestige of the school the more attractive it is to top ranking students in the country

So true. You can often determine the quality of the profs by their students' accomplishments.

Students that make the UFE honor roll say a lot more about their profs than all the awards their prof's get from peers.
