| Who really cares though? Loll, Everybody, Do You! If someone wants to attend Ryerson, thats their provocative. Let them " fail " in life. Personally, My dad makes 250 000 and he graduated from ryerson. I go to UFT , and I think that all of my fellow UTSG classmates here SHAME ON YOU. Your making the stigma that UFT people are snobby assholes stay true.. We are the ones in UFT , so who gives a f***. You guys are ridiculous. Why Argue, if UFT grads are sooo much better, why are you on this site trying to prove something that has nothing to do with your own life? .. Northrop Frye would be dissapointed. GO RYERSON! GO UFT! EVERYONE BE YOUR OWN PERSON. Im not gonna feel bad for what YOU do in YOUR life. so who cares? |

I doubt anyone on these boards who discriminates against a college or university has finished high school yet. That mindset is common in 12th grade for students who try to boost their egos. Not all of them are complete assholes, though, some of them sincerely believe that particular schools are crap.
For a while I thought York and Ryerson among other schools were crap and that college was for bums, but it was only because it was what my mom had told me. After actually experiencing two different universities and GROWING UP some, I've met people from different backgrounds: universities, colleges, work, etc and I can tell you, this way of thinking goes away quickly. If you truly do believe that York and Ryerson and other schools are for idiots, wait until you realize your manager is a Ryerson Accounting grad, or your coworker is a York Arts grad. Have fun avoiding eye contact with them because you think their years of work were useless. I've been through it, but like I said, I've grown up.
The school someone goes to does not always directly indicate said person's level of intellect. A genius may go to York, a complete idiot (like me) might go to Waterloo for math (like me). The fact is ANYONE can go ANYWHERE, all they need to do is get good marks in high school.. and that isn't hard. Maintaining a good GPA in that schools is more of a test, but still, I know people who aren't entirely smart who graduated from different schools. Their methods were usually: hard work and perseverance.
Okay some students here who flame might have finished high school, but they're quite likely to still be in their first years. A lot of Profs in my first year at Waterloo would make jokes about other schools to get a laugh, but I doubt anyone took them seriously: they'd joke about WLU being 'that high school down the street' or about U of T being inferior.. some jokes about Western, too, but it was a while ago so I only vaguely remember it. Some Ryerson profs would compare U of T's textbook knowledge to practical knowledge. Other schools probably do the same.. but the people who take this crap seriously are seriously dense |

McMaster graduates aren't even good enough to clean shit off of the floor in public restrooms! You will never see a UofT or Queens graduate saying retarded shit such as "ANYONE can go ANYWHERE", if anyone could go anywhere, why would the choose McMaster, where only prostitutes and homeless people go? Don't trust this greasy zit faced anime watching Waterloo grad who now sits in a cubicle watching Hello Kitty for a living! UofT and Queens grads get the best, highest paying jobs around, and don't make eye contact with Ryerson graduates either! McMaster graduates should be avoided like the plague! |

Personally, I feel disgusted when people from ryerson or york look at me in the eye, as a UofT grad. Please don't look at me, just stop....really pathetic, truly |

| You have a bias opinion about Ryerson. I don't get exactly understand how is it bringing Canada's reputation down a degree in Bcomm either from UofT or Ryerson is the same. Its just that Uoft has a reputation to keep while Ryerson is not putting loads and loads of stress on its students. I know a student from U of T who switched to Ryerson and she feels that she made the best decision of her life. Just a few years ago it was a collage and now its turning into a University and its reputaiton is getting alot better. Personally I feel that Ryerson gives alot of choices to its students. For example in Business Management they give you around 7 choices for majoring in something.. so that when students chooses Ryerson they don't close so many doors or turn down a chance. |

You will NEVER see a UofT student resorting to writing out whiny paragraphs such as this one to defend their school. UofT sells itself, tell anyone you go to UofT and you don't have to walk with your head down in shame like this Ryerson student who has to talk himself up over the internet so he can sleep better at night. UofT and Queens graduates get the best, highest paying jobs around. |

You've got it wrong. Actually it's the UOfT students that whine the most. Oh' it much harder at UOfT; the courses are more rigorous, the grade curve, the profs expect more etc... etc... etc... Well if UOfT students take 2 hours each day to commute, can't find the prof for help, and get stuck with 500 others crammed into a classroom, then at least they have a good excuse to whine and bit*h about how students at other schools have it easy. Queen's students are pampered and they expect it. |
