I think it depends on what you are studying. You will not receive a university education (so expect fanboy abuse), but from what I hear, technology grads from Seneca get swept up pretty fast. _________________ "The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool." |

| Well, I want to study Electronics Engineering Technology at Seneca for two chief reasons. Those being the 3-semester year round start dates so I can finish it a year sooner and because from what I heard(mouth-to-mouth) it's a good college for Engineering and Computer studies. Not sure about that since if I finish the program I want to transfer to university to complete a degree in electrical engineering. But I'll probably just leave it at that with the diploma. |

Well tranfserring to a University engineering program can never go wrong, as they are usually the top ones in their class which i have observed and what i have observed from many people including people from Mac, Queens, Western and hmm there was another and i cant remember. But anyway a good science background will always help you in life and Seneca is a good COLLEGE for engineering from what i hear as well. I also have read they have good placement afterwards this i believe because:
-they have the real good technical skills
-they can pay less for a college grad who has the technical skills that they want, instead of paying for a high priced university grad. |

Why do you always come to university forums and talk about community colleges? |

You're an absolute retard. Seneca has more than 100,000 part-time and full-time students. I'm guessing some of those 100,000 may be looking here for advice on upgrade options for their college education. |

| Seneca is one of the best colleges in Canada, especially for tech stuff, and it definitely sends lots of students to other Toronto universities like UofT. |

You're an idiot to assume everyone in college must be there because they couldn't handle university. Are you still in high school? I know many people who started out in college because they chose to, then later completed engineering, business or law degrees at university. |

And do you know why? Because they realized that a college "diploma" is trash, so they then pursue a university degree. Face it loser, you never see an ambitious high school student go to college, never. I love arguing with you buddy, keep it up. |

I know smart and ambitious people who went to college. They were more interested in learning skills they could immediately use to make money. |

Let me assure you that college administrators just love those "ambitious" students with their BA or BSc and no marketable skills other than picking the wrong university or program. Community colleges are full of people with useless university degrees and a mountain of student debt.
Most college diplomas especially in business and technical fields like engineering can have as much as 50-100% of the credits transferable toward a university degree. However, the reverse is not true of transferable credits for a BA/Bsc. Like the other guy said, you're an idiot. |

I don't know why there is this tendency to confuse ambition with intelligence. They are really two different traits. I've seen some very ambitious people do really stupid things.
College may not for everyone, but neither is university. And to say a college diploma is trash, is undoubtedly a sigh of stupidity. |

did the smartest people in your high school even consider going to college? i highly doubt it.......college is not useless, but for business and engineering, you do not quite stack up with university graduates my friend, the guy clearly hates college students and looks down on them.... but to a certain extent he or shee has a point |
