University of Alberta
University of British Columbia
University of Calgary
Dalhousie University
Université Laval
McGill University
McMaster University
Université de Montréal
University of Ottawa
Queen's University
University of Toronto
University of Waterloo
University of Western Ontario
G13

So Ottawa, Dalhousie and Laval is better than York?
More research university > less research university?
I believe in Canadian universities, there are 3 tiers: top tier(UofT, UBC, McGill). mediocre tier(Guelph, Ottawa, Laurier, York, Dalhousie), and low tier(Rye-high, UOIT, Trent, Laurentian)

Seneca isn't a bad school.

Firefox chooses Seneca graduates to work for them. Tell me how many Canadian university kids get that offer? Colleges are directed to those who like more hands on learning compared to those who like learning through lectures and textbooks.

How ignorant people are.

Colleges are not "hands on". Colleges are not apprenticeships where you are mainly working under someone who is licensed in a certain manual trade such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing or whatever and taking very minimal theoretical in class learning a few times during the duration of 4-6 years. The amount of people who don't know the difference between these two is bloody amazing. The world truly is made up of ignorant buffoons.

Colleges mainly offer dumbed down university programs. An example would be engineering technology versus engineering. Engineering technology is a 3 year program where you take a laughable amount of theory compared to a university program. Tests and assignments are easier. Teachers do not have to be experts in the field or hold any specific academic requirement, unless the college makes up such a requirement. You would also be learning things specifically that you would be doing in the engineering field such as how to write specs, how to use computer aided design programs, how to use technology and so forth. No one is going to ask you to take the triple integral of anything in an engineering company. However, engineering grads are still likely to get the jobs requiring these skills anyway and they learn on the job because most people know college is a joke.

Other examples are programs like physiotherapist assistant compared to being an actual physiotherapist. It's an easier, shorter program and you get a lousier, lower paying job (if one at all) when you graduate. Anyone with any sort of intellect would also most likely be falling asleep in college. The people who claim college is not for them because it's "hands on" are also likely to be the people who can't do anything applied such as labs in university.

Also,

universities and colleges are both comprised of mainly a bunch of dumbfuck retards. Just because you get 90 in calculus in high school or whatever and go to university does not make you smart. It's safe to assume that if you haven't met somebody, they are more likely to be a ****ing retard than a genius, regardless of how much they memorize some textbook.

The main difference is that college students are either high on pot more so than university students, take more heroin or haven't figured out how to cheat as well.

Name me one successful person who graduated in College, and is making millions. Name me a person who graduated from college who has won the noble peace prize? None. A big fat jelly donut. Colleges get you jobs. Universities get you careers. That's the difference.

Probably. There's probably lots of people who never went to college or university who are doing well. The other poster thinks that just because he goes to university he will be doing some very important work and be making millions...a much more likely scenario is he is working in a cubicle making 50-60K a year, perhaps moving into middle management in his 40s/50s.

And that's if he took a technical subject such as engineering. If he took some arts bullcrap, he can expect a career in bartending/waitering.

You're a total idiot. I know plenty of people who hold post-graduate degrees and got their start by attending college. No, I won't name them in this troll forum. College and universities are only stepping stones to a lifetime of achievements for a these people who now have millions in assets.

So you have a university education. Good for you. So do I. Now pour me another vodka, son.

It's Nobel Prize, not price. Freudian slip? Money isn't everything you know. Mother Teresa didn't need a bachelor's degree to win her Nobel prize. She has some honorary degrees though.
