Hi Everyone. I'm planning to do Electrical Engineering for my undergrad in these universities:
-UofT
-Waterloo
-CarletonU
-Queen's
-ConcordiaU
I go to school in the Caribbean and I did my CXC and Unit 1 CAPE. I'm doing my Unit 2 CAPE this year. I decided to repeat all my Unit 1 subjects because the grades were not that good.
CXC Results:
Bio - Grade 2
Math - Grade 1
English Language - Grade 1
English Literature - Grade 2
Physics - Grade 1
French - Grade 2
Chem - Grade 2
A/S Math - D
CAPE Results:
Chem - Grade 3
Physics - Grade 3
Math - Grade 3
Communication Studies - Grade 2
CAPE is like A'Levels in the British-patterned education system. A'Levels got changed to CAPE, they basically "Caribbeanised" it.
So my question is, is there any chance I can get into the above Universities?
Thanks in advance for all the help! |

| I don't think there are any other Caribbean students on here. You should email the admissions offices of the schools and ask them. If your grades are similar to British A levels you probably need a couple of Bs. But it is hard to predict. If few Caribbean students apply then your chances will go up. |

On a serious note, your A' level grades are not so good. Grade 3 i assume is like a C?? Hard to get into Waterloo(besides it's full of nerdy asians with acne) and Queen's with these grades. Carleton just needs you money, UofT might accept you, Concordia will most probably accept you |

Thanks for the honestly. I assume it's like a C also, that's why I'm repeating all this year including the exams I have this year to try to do better. |
