I've done my BA and MA at the University of Ottawa and really loved the program - the professors were intelligent, articulate, and very supportive; class sizes were small; students and class discussions were both friendly and intelligent. This is what I'm looking for in a doctoral program - not really into the cutthroat competitive atmosphere that certain schools cultivate. But I'm still looking for a quality program - I love the work and my marks are stellar, so I'm a pretty good candidate for most schools (Canadian, at least). My interests are the 19th C Novel, Jane Austen, and the evolution of reading. Thoughts?
